Anand Shankar is a situation-based action hero who is well known for his performances in movies like Pattalam, Rajahamsam etc. He has a sister who is getting married soon and the movie starts with the arrival of Anand Shankar's sister's groom to their home. The whole family works very closely. The groom is well accepted by everyone except for one person - Anand Shankar himself. The whole family members try to sort it out with Anand but still no avail. This creates a rift between the two families and they decide to take it before the village head man who eventually orders to banish Anand from the village because he feels that he cannot set them right. Anand hits the roads with his bike and what happens to him on road forms the rest of the story. The movie is about how Anand Shankar redeems himself of his misdeeds by taking care of others. Gireesh Puthenchery in his review for Rediff wrote "as far as the performances go, there isn't anyone to write home about". Sify rated it 2 / 5 stating that the movie is "disappointing" giving more weightage on family sentiments over logic. The movie was remade into Tamil in 1986 starring Vijayakanth, Aravind Swamy, Senthil, Krishnapriya, Sumalatha and Jeeva. The film was produced by EK Nayanar under the banner of Arts Entertainment. The film's soundtrack was composed by A. T. Ummer while the lyrics were written by Pazhani Bharani and Dominic Dominic. It was remade again in 2012 in Telugu language starring Naga Chaitanya and Sneha sensation Kajal Agarwal in lead roles with music released by M. M. Keeravani and Ravi Babu while the director was Ram Gopal Varma (for this movie). cfa1e77820
